Dan Desilets comes from a family of thirteen. Nobody appreciates quiet moment more than somebody whose childhood held none of them. Dan learned to read to get some peace and quiet. In a house full of intellectuals, that was the one thing you wouldn't get interrupted doing. He grew to love Science Fiction and Fantasy and coveted the odd comic book he managed to borrow from a friend.
Dan joined the army and found they did not have a similar policy on reading. He instead busied himself, despite a crippling fear of heights, with jumping out of perfectly good airplanes. He has the distinction of surviving a person on plane mid air collision and a parachute malfunction. Dan never did get over his fear of heights. Dan loves tea and cocoa and finds coffee an abhorrent but necessary evil. His favorite cocoa is whichever one comes with the largest pile of whipped cream on top. Dan lives with his lovely wife Jessica and his two children on their country "estate" in Brooklyn, CT. He lives in New England solely for the two to six week period of wonder that is the Fall. The rest of the year is separated into the "Waiting for Fall" and "Weeee, it's Halloween and Christmas" periods. Dan writes Epic Fantasy, Urban Supernatural and Picture Books. |
